The gift a dream ride!

Hello! dis s my first blog!

Its 12th february 2010 n 2day was my first XBHP G2G n i came back home elated!

ppl who think bikers are rash, un-organised, crazy young guys wid no traffic sense

ought 2 come n see us here, for one thing every biker present donned a jacket, a good helmet, boots complete wid gloves... and d formation in which v rode was totally disciplined. using indicaters 2 change lanes. signalling while slowing down or stopping. maintaining d 80 kmph speed limit throughout the 9.2 km(i think) elevated expressway, d bikers had respect for each other and more so for Rahul a.k.a. bluevolt. der was d same thought in every1s mind- v think of n talk of these things(read 'ride for a cause' or just an all India ride) but dis guy s actually doing it, every1 was in awe of him. i think he can make a good leader. for one thing he was doing all d talking n v were all hanging on 2 each word of his :P m looking forward 2 recieving him wen he comes back :)

Wish u a safe n fruitful ride buddy! (hope u don have 2 touch dat first aid kit of urs)

so let me just summarize d mrng from my perspective...

was too excited 2 sleep yest nite, finally slept @ around 12 i think..

had kept 10 alarms of 2-5 min intervals and one more on my secondary mob :P

woke up @ 4 am, called Avi, he said he cant come, gave some excuses.. called deepak, he dint answer my call... called suraj, told him avi s coming ;), he said he was too sleepy but finally he confirmed @ 440 am!! i brushed my teeth, geared up, took out d bike, woke my mom, said a bye n picked up suraj n was on my way @ 445 am...

i was expecting a chill but it was cool not cold, d chill of winter seems 2 have vanished n ya needless 2 say, it was d perfect weather for riding( err.. dats how i feeling each time i start up my bike, wen she comes 2 life, i feel like riding away 2 distant lands wid no worries, no mobiles, nothing, 2 be truely FREE :) ) anyways back 2 reality :P

v reached d madivala petrol bunk n der dey were.. around 8-10 bikers wid der bikes, standing in a circle, i asked for Avin, he was d only 1 i knew, n den introduced myself.. i was a newbie der mind u, n wen m new 2 a group, m always silent, observing, listening( i mean dats how i am :P )

only wen i get familiar wid every1 do i open up :) der was a kinda silence der like everybody wasnt dat familiar wid others, i mean i am sure dis wud not be how they wud be if they were in der own friends circle... but its ok i guess, like i said m new n maybe dis was all my illusion n every1 was kinda silent cos it was 5 am n no1 was fully awake yet! hehe :P

so @ 516 am, Rahul came, he said he was too excited 2 sleep propely n came 4 mins early :P

so he talked and v hung on 2 each word( i swear if v did dat in class, v cud have topped, but ofcourse being a nerd s not in my DNA B-) :D ) n ya b4 Rahul, a guy called Eric turned up in a R 15 wid a pillion(both of oriental ethnicity, m just describing, no judgements here lollz!!)

they were on der way 2 mangalore( have a good trip guys, god knows i had a wwiiiillllllddd time wen i went der a couple of weeks ago :), aww sweet memories :)) )

anyways v started our bikes, n went ahead, v had decided 2 join him till d end of d elevated expressway i.e. till electronic city n den v bid him farewell n v discussed d possibility of a short or not so long trip n den decided against it( i don know y) n v took a U turn n rode 2gether till madiwala n den v went on our own ways...

After 4 n a half years i finally got my hands on my dream machine, n wat does a passionate biker do 1st thing after getting his dream ride, he joins Xbhp.com n i was lucky dat der was a G2G

d very next day, so wen i was on my way 2 d G2G, i felt "HOTSHOT, u have finally arrived on d biking scene :) " some ppl who r reading dis may think m going a bit overboard but trust me i cant tell u how much i love bikes n how passionate i am about anything related 2 bikes :)

back 2 topic: me n suraj were on our way home n both of us felt hungry :P v searched 4 a hotel n fnally found 1 in jaynagar T-block n as v were eating thatte idly, i saw d first rays of sunlight n warmth filling us... n v had a long discussion(arguement:P) about R15 n P220 n den came home :)

wat a way spend d early hours of day, wish i cud do dis everyday ;) :)
